Verde Food Company is a start-up organic food company based in Santa Fe, NM.  In addition to two retail outlets, Verde also manufactures and distributes Verde Juice, a line of cold-pressed juice blends.  Sustainability is a keystone in our business model, aiming for zero-waste and sourcing our organic ingredients locally as much as possible.

Juice Production / Food Manufacturing
Full-time (32+ hours/week)
$12.50-$13.00/hour

Tasks include:
Following recipes; washing, preparing and juicing fresh produce; operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment; monitoring quality controls; bottling and labeling beverages; packing cases; cleaning kitchen facility; tracking production output and inventory levels.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to quality and team work
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year in food production or manufacturing role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment such as a commercial kitchen, bakery, or production plant
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NM food handlers certificate
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours as needed
  • Skills and experience in or comparable with food service operations
  • Physical Abilities to reach, bend, stoop and stand for extended time and to lift up to 50 pounds
  • People, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and time management/organization skills

Food Prep/Line Cooks
Full- and Part-Time

Tasks include:
Following recipes; preparing and packaging pre-made sandwiches and salads; cooking and plating dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner; operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment; monitoring quality controls; date stamping products and following FIFO policies; washing dishes; packing deliveries; cleaning kitchen facility; tracking production output and inventory levels.

Requirements:

  • Positive and team-oriented attitude. No chips on shoulders in our kitchen!
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year of applicable back-of-house kitchen experience, such as line cook, prep cook or baker
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NM food handlers certificate
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours as needed
  • Skills and experience in or comparable with food service operations, including use of POS and computer systems and food preparation equipment
  • Physical Abilities to reach, bend, stoop and stand for extended time and to lift up to 50 pounds
  • People, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and time management/organization skills

Customer Service Team Member
Full- and Part-Time

Tasks include:
Assisting guests with selections; upselling product; ringing orders on cash register; making correct change; signing guests up for rewards program; beverage preparation; food running; bussing tables; answering phones and managing reservations; monitoring inventory and restocking.

Requirements:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a strong interest in nutrition and healthy foods
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year in customer service role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment such as hospitality, food service, or retail
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NM food handlers certificate
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours as needed
  • Skills and experience in food service operations, including use of POS and computer systems and food preparation equipment
  • Physical abilities to reach, bend, stoop and stand for extended time and to lift up to 50 pounds
  • People, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and time management/organization skills
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office skills
